Student Services
Vashon Island School District offers the following special services to students who qualify:
Transitional Bilingual Program provides services to students kindergarten through 12th grade who are learning English as their second language.
Readiness to Learn (RTL) provides advocacy, agency referrals, resource coordination and student/parent support.
Title 1/LAP (Learning Resource Program) provides supplemental academic support for students who are below grade level on state tests or who are otherwise academically at risk.
Special Education provides specially designed instruction to students with a disability that adversely affects their academic progress.
504 (Americans with Disabilities Act ADA) provides a plan of accommodations for students with a disability that adversely effects their access to education.
